genographia: a next-generation genomics community
Also available in presentation mode…
Greetings
Welcome to Genographia!
The week of July 15 introduced the first of a semi-monthly series of in-depth articles on current developments sampled from across the next-generation sequencing ecosystem.
Our first article was written by Todd Smith and Mike Folk, two key contributors to the BioHDF Project. This project aims to develop standards-based, scalable infrastructure to help manage and get the most out of the enormous and complex data sets generated in conjunction with new sequencing and bioinformatics technologies. Todd also presented on BioHDF at ISMB 2008 in Toronto, as part of the BOSC SIG session.
For August, Asim Siddiqui and Brian Bramlett segue from BioHDF and data storage to updates on short read formats and issues around the question "what to store?". Read more in Abstracting Sequencing Data.
Thanks for visiting, and please join in the discussion!
